Vanadium Oxide

V2O5 is the raw material for the production of Ferro Vanadium and Vanadium Metal. The Oxide is either mined or produced from recycled Vanadium catalysts. In nature, it is extremely rare, and can be found mostly in Magnetite. Vanadium is never found unbound in nature, but rather in combination with Lead or Kalium. The main mining regions are China, North America, and Russia. The typical content of Vanadium is between 97% and 99% but material produced from recycled vanadium catalysts have higher impurities, and therefore, lower Vanadium content.
